Throughout tHRive, the division's 2025 Human Resources Conference, 329 attendees were reminded that their work is more than recruitment, onboarding, and policies. It’s critical to the gospel mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Sonscreen 2025 Brings Together 200+ Creatives to Celebrate Faith, Film, and Community
From April 3-5, more than 200 student filmmakers, professionals, and guests gathered at Loma Linda University Church in California for the North American Division’s 2025 Sonscreen Film Festival. Now in its 22nd year, this unique NAD event showcased 48 student films and several professional projects, featured workshops led by professional faith-based filmmakers, and honored emerging voices via a pitch competition with cash prizes and an awards ceremony.
A Legacy of Volunteering
I sometimes wonder how my dad would have turned out if he had not been recruited by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Would he have succumbed to a life of crime? If not for those life experiences and lessons, would he have raised a family that now includes ministers, teachers, medical professionals, decorated war veterans and yes, the director of the Office of Volunteer Ministries?

Seventh-day Adventists are indeed a people of destiny. And like the church of Christ’s day, we have a stake in the outcome of the world's situation. We’ve been teaching and preaching this stuff for years. What is Christ waiting for? He is waiting and longing for the manifestation of Himself in His church.
Ontario Conference Opens First Center of Influence
The Really Living Centre kick-started its grand opening this past September with hundreds of members and visitors from across North America in attendance. The 25,000 square-foot facility is Ontario Conference’s first center of influence, serving as both a worship space for Really Living Seventh-day Adventist Church and a community center open several days a week.

Reaching Rich
As Rich was sitting in the hospital, he saw a small GLOW tract called "What Makes Canada Great." As Rich read the tract, he thought about his great need. He broke down and wept. All his money, power, and reputation could not save his grandson. Although Rich was not a believer before this, he made a life-changing decision to turn to God that very day. Whether his grandson lived or died, Rich knew that he needed Jesus.
