Southern Adventist University Partners with Community in Prayer
More than 300 Christians in the Collegedale, Tennessee, community gathered on the Southern Adventist University campus for six consecutive evenings in May to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Sonscreen 2025 Brings Together 200+ Creatives to Celebrate Faith, Film, and Community
From April 3-5, more than 200 student filmmakers, professionals, and guests gathered at Loma Linda University Church in California for the North American Division’s 2025 Sonscreen Film Festival. Now in its 22nd year, this unique NAD event showcased 48 student films and several professional projects, featured workshops led by professional faith-based filmmakers, and honored emerging voices via a pitch competition with cash prizes and an awards ceremony.

Organization Honors Memory of Lucille Byard
On the 75th anniversary of the death of a woman whose mistreatment sparked the formation of regional conferences, an organization is hoping to raise aware and remedy discrimination within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Conscience and Justice Council comprised of public affairs and religious liberty leaders in regional conferences and universities across North America issued a proclamation declaring Oct. 30 as Lucille Byard day.
"The God Squad" from Oakwood University Visits Washington, D.C.
Before sunrise on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, forty excited students and four chaperones embarked on a four-day tour of Washington, D.C., and the surrounding areas to visit law schools and network with congressional officials, senators, and U.S. ambassadors. As ambassadors wherever they went, the History and Political Science students were dubbed “The God Squad” by some D.C. locals during their tour.
