Southern Adventist University Partners with Community in Prayer
More than 300 Christians in the Collegedale, Tennessee, community gathered on the Southern Adventist University campus for six consecutive evenings in May to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Sonscreen 2025 Brings Together 200+ Creatives to Celebrate Faith, Film, and Community
From April 3-5, more than 200 student filmmakers, professionals, and guests gathered at Loma Linda University Church in California for the North American Division’s 2025 Sonscreen Film Festival. Now in its 22nd year, this unique NAD event showcased 48 student films and several professional projects, featured workshops led by professional faith-based filmmakers, and honored emerging voices via a pitch competition with cash prizes and an awards ceremony.

Over the course of the 2022 Year-End Meeting of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (NAD), the executive committee comprised of church leaders participated in three breakout sessions on specific topics. They were divided into groups based on unions and tasked with responding to a few provided questions, then bringing back a summary of their main points to the group at large.
2022 North American Division Year-End Meeting Brings Leadership Changes in NADEI, Communication and Ministerial Departments
During the 2022 North American Division Year-End Meeting (NAD YEM), the NAD executive committee received the names of one director and an associate director as recommended by the North American Division’s standing nominating committee. The executive committee also recognized an additional new director for one of its institutions.

Though the theme for the 2022 Year-End Meetings for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (NAD) is “Together in Mission,” the church leaders gathered were also together in worship each morning. These worship sessions began with hymns, scripture, and special music before the sermon, each day presented by a different speaker.
Southern Adventist University Alum Inducted into TICUA Hall of Fame
This month, the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA) announced its 2022 Hall of Fame inductees, including Southern Adventist University alum and long-time physician Robert Bowers. A 1957 biology graduate, Bowers embodies his alma mater’s values and commitment to serving others generously.
