Sonscreen 2025 Brings Together 200+ Creatives to Celebrate Faith, Film, and Community
From April 3-5, more than 200 student filmmakers, professionals, and guests gathered at Loma Linda University Church in California for the North American Division’s 2025 Sonscreen Film Festival. Now in its 22nd year, this unique NAD event showcased 48 student films and several professional projects, featured workshops led by professional faith-based filmmakers, and honored emerging voices via a pitch competition with cash prizes and an awards ceremony.

Southern Adventist University Welcomes New Vice President for Enrollment Management
Southern Adventist University is pleased to welcome Jason Merryman as the new vice president for Enrollment Management. Merryman is no stranger to Southern, having graduated from the university in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in business; he then served as director of Financial Aid and Enrollment Services from 2005 to 2012.

Daniel R. Jackson has served as president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America for 10 years. He and his wife, Donna, an associate director for the NAD’s Ministerial Association, are retiring on July 1, 2020. Adventist Health Now Managing Mendocino Coast District Hospital
Mendocino Coast District Hospital and Adventist Health have signed a management agreement, announced Jason Wells, president of Adventist Health services in Mendocino County, in May 2020. The hospital will draw on Adventist Health’s extensive experience, as well as its vast network and resources in Mendocino County, where Adventist Health operates two other hospitals.
