Sonscreen 2025 Brings Together 200+ Creatives to Celebrate Faith, Film, and Community
From April 3-5, more than 200 student filmmakers, professionals, and guests gathered at Loma Linda University Church in California for the North American Division’s 2025 Sonscreen Film Festival. Now in its 22nd year, this unique NAD event showcased 48 student films and several professional projects, featured workshops led by professional faith-based filmmakers, and honored emerging voices via a pitch competition with cash prizes and an awards ceremony.

ACS Coordinates Flood Relief in Baltimore
A team of 55 Adventists joined an area-wide response effort in Baltimore, Md., on June 10 in response to substantial flooding that affected an entire community. The Frederick Avenue Corridor in southwest Baltimore received 10 inches of rain on May 27 that caused severe road damage and affected approximately 100 homes.

NAD Leaders Dedicate the Headquarters’ Prayer Chapel to the Legacy of C.D. Brooks
On June 7, approximately 70 family members, NAD employees, and guests attended the C.D. Brooks Prayer Chapel dedication ceremony in the division’s headquarters in Columbia, Maryland. The renowned Adventist evangelist passed away June 5, 2016, at age 85.
ADRA and Sligo Adventist Church Empower Community Members to Serve Local and International Refugees
To help raise awareness of the refugee crisis, which involves more than 65 million people worldwide, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) collaborated with Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Takoma Park, Maryland, to co-host an information fair and film screening on May 20.
