Sonscreen 2025 Brings Together 200+ Creatives to Celebrate Faith, Film, and Community
From April 3-5, more than 200 student filmmakers, professionals, and guests gathered at Loma Linda University Church in California for the North American Division’s 2025 Sonscreen Film Festival. Now in its 22nd year, this unique NAD event showcased 48 student films and several professional projects, featured workshops led by professional faith-based filmmakers, and honored emerging voices via a pitch competition with cash prizes and an awards ceremony.
2019 Year-End Meeting Opens with Focus on Empowering Current and Future Pastors, and Continuing Education
This year’s annual business meeting will host the division’s 341 members of its executive committee to hear reports, nominate personnel, amend policies, and fellowship among like-minded leaders and laypersons who are dedicated to the mission of the Church. The theme for this year’s six-day meeting is “Pursuing His Promises,” which leaders hope will inspire delegates to offer continuous praise to God.

Manitoba-Saskatchewan Health Ministers Are Empowered to Serve
On October 18-20, 2019, experts came to equip the membership of the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference in the practical details of running a health ministry. The course, “A Practical Guide to Effective Health Ministry Training,” is offered by the Health Ministries Department of the NAD. This training provided practical tips on how to bring together all the pieces available at the conference and local church level in order to have a power-filled health ministry.
It Is Written to Host Grand Opening of New Headquarters
It Is Written, a media evangelism ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, will host a grand opening of its new ministry headquarters in Collegedale, Tennessee, on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, from 12 to 3 p.m. The event will feature a dedication, a ribbon cutting, an open house, ministry tours, giveaways, and refreshments.
